A comprehensive multidisciplinary world in deep collaboration with sound artist Monique Osorio, choreographer lauri stallings, and musician Kebbi Williams presented by Atlanta Beltline Art that activates American artist Lonnie Holley’s album, “keeping a record of it,” as a site to extend from the past to create a portal to new perspectives, community, and what’s left behind. We are artists dedicated to experimentation and engaged with sculptural performance and the live moment from the perspective of belonging. What do you choose to carry that carries you? and how does art make memory a participatory, communal event? are some of the questions we aim to explore.

Making Kin is a living landscape for a large cast of moving artists, musicians, choir, and community where human bodies move, chant, and perform alongside elements of the natural world, and with the deeply spiritual, inviting us to observe how we resemble, influence, and attune to one-another. Named for Donna Haraway’s 2016 book Making Kin in the Chthulucene, earth (chthulu) and new kind (cene) is the act of not being able to think of ourselves as disconnected from the rest of life on earth. It’s also referred to as “staying with the trouble,” as used by Georgia warrior John Lewis.
